Early sky-watching
Long before written history, communities tracked the sky to mark seasons and plan harvests. Over time, the positions of stars and planets were also read as signs about daily life and character.
The twelve signs take shape
The familiar zodiac of twelve signs was refined over centuries, combining observation with storytelling. Each sign became linked with a set of qualities that later spread across many cultures.
From private charts to newspaper columns
For a long time, detailed astrological charts were prepared individually, one person at a time. The short, sign-based reading familiar today — a "sun-sign" horoscope — only became common in the twentieth century, when newspapers wanted content every reader could relate to.
And today?
Today, astrology is mostly a popular way to reflect, not a science. Experiences like ours sit within that same tradition: a moment of reflection, not a scientific measurement.
